Information for speakers

A dedicated laptop will be used to centralise all presentations. Presenters speaking on the first day of the program should upload their presentation as soon as possible upon arrival, preferably at the welcome reception on Sunday evening. It is not possible to use personal laptops at the podium.

We strongly suggest using PDF as the preferred presentation method, but if you wish to provide a PowerPoint presentation (Windows or Mac) you will need to run through your presentation on the dedicated laptop to ensure your presentation is correctly formatted.

Please note: Standard PowerPoint Presentations need to be adjusted to fit the projector to avoid black edges on your PowerPoint slides. Please ensure your PowerPoint Presentations are in 16:10 aspect ratio and not 4:3.

Presentations on a USB memory stick or personal laptop must be delivered to the organisers preferably the day before, but no later than 2 hours before the beginning of the session. If you would like to email your presentation, please send it to: fusion17@anu.edu.au, including in the subject line the day and time of the talk, and surname of the presenter. There is a 10MB limit per email – if you will exceed this limit, please contact the conference secretaries when you arrive to transfer your presentation.
