LENRT Workshop

15-17 February 2017
ANU, Canberra

In the week prior to the FUSION 17 conference we will hold a satellite workshop on Low-Energy Nuclear Reaction Theory at the Australian National University in Canberra. The workshop will run from the 15th to the 17th February.

The goal is to discuss recent developments in theoretical approaches to heavy-ion reactions at near barrier energies, including:

  • Fusion dynamics
  • Superheavy elements synthesis
  • Fission and quasifission dynamics
  • Transfer and deep-inelastic collisions
  • Near-barrier collisions with weakly bound and unstable nuclei
  • Tunnelling and deep sub-barrier fusion
  • Fusion and fission in astrophysics
  • Methods from atomic and molecular physics

The focus of the workshop will be on reaction theory, though experimenters attending the FUSION 17 conference are most welcome to attend. However, due to space constraints the number of attendees is limited.

If you are interested in attending, please send an e-mail and/or abstract to fusion17@anu.edu.au.
